Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Submission Guidelines

  1. Manuscript Preparation
  • Manuscripts should be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.
  • Submissions must be written in clear, concise English (UK)
  • The manuscript should include the following sections: Title Page, Abstract (maximum 250 words), Keywords (3-6), Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, References, and any Appendices.
  • The main text should be formatted in Times New Roman, 12-point font, double-spaced, with 1-inch margins on all sides. Use standard A4 page size. The total wordcount should not be more than 8000 words.
  1. File Format
  • Submit manuscripts as a Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx). Figures and tables should be embedded in the text and provided separately in high-resolution formats (e.g., .png, .jpeg).
  1. Referencing Style
  • References should follow the APA 7th edition format. Ensure that all in-text citations are included in the reference list and vice versa.
  1. Plagiarism Policy
  • Submissions must be the author’s original work and free of plagiarism. All manuscripts will be screened using plagiarism detection software.
  1. Submission Process
  • Submit manuscripts via the journal's online submission portal. Include a cover letter detailing the manuscript's significance and declaring that all authors have approved the submission.
  1. Peer Review Process
  • All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review. Authors should remove identifying information from the manuscript to ensure anonymity.
  1. Copyright and Open Access
  • Authors retain copyright but grant ECOSIGHT the right to publish the work. The journal operates under an open-access model, ensuring free access to published articles.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
