About the Journal

The KWASU Journal of Humanities is a multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed academic journal published twice a year by the Faculty of Arts, Kwara State University, Malete, Nigeria. The journal is dedicated to the promotion of high-quality research and scholarship in the broad field of the humanities, encompassing disciplines such as literature, languages, history, philosophy, religion, cultural studies, communication, and related social and creative arts.

The KWASU Journal of Humanities welcomes submissions from scholars within and outside Nigeria, seeking to nurture an inclusive and forward-looking scholarly community that upholds excellence, diversity of thought, and academic integrity.

We welcome submissions in language, literature, cultural studies, gender and sexuality studies, religious studies, history and diplomatic studies, philosophy, digital humanities and emerging technologies, indigenous knowledge systems, migration, diaspora, and globalization, theatre and film studies, linguistics, foreign languages, and African languages.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

* Manuscript should be between 4,000-8,000 words and accompanied by an abstract of 150-200 words with 5 keywords, typewritten in Times New Roman font, size 12, double line spacing and normal margin (1" all sides) with each page numbered.

* Submission file should be Microsoft Word or OpenOffice document file format.

* Submission should include author's full name, institutional affiliation, and email contact. In the case of multiple authors, one of them should be assigned as the corresponding author.

* The manuscript should adhere to the citation and bibliographic style of the Modern Language Association of America (MLA) Handbook, 8th edition.

*English is the primary language of publication, other languages such as Arabic, French and Yoruba, are occasionally represented. Paper in other languages should have abstract and keywords in both English and the language of that paper.

All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review to ensure scholarly rigor and relevance.

ASSESSMENT AND PUBLICATION FEES

KJH charges a non-refundable assessment fee of N10,000 and $20 (international contributors). Manuscripts accepted for publication require N30,000 and $50 (International Contributors) only.
