About the Journal

Malete Journal of Politics, Peace and Administration (MAJOPPAD) is a peer-reviewed and research-driven journal published twice a year (June and December) by the Department of Politics and Governance, Kwara State University, Malete. The Journal aims to provide an intellectual platform for the dissemination of critical, empirical and scholarly research in the fields of Politics, Security, Peace Studies and Administration. MAJOPPAD is poised to be a critical avenue for addressing the pressing deficiencies in teaching and practice of politics, governance, peace building, conflict resolution, and public administration in Africa, and particularly in Nigeria. In a region characterised with persistent violence, political instability, and socio-economic dysfunction, this journal aims to contribute to scholarly discourse that fosters understanding and solutions to these complex issues, in recognising the urgent need for innovative paradigms to Politics, Peace and Public Administration in a landscape often hindered by grievances and governance failures.

In the light of these challenges, the journal seeks to illuminate the intricate relationships among the disciplines of Political Science, Governance, Peace Studies, and Public Administration. It invites scholars and practitioners to explore the underlying causes of conflict, assess current management strategies, and propose frameworks for effective governance that prioritise inclusivity. By engaging with these themes, the journal aspires to promote collaborative efforts that can mitigate tensions and enhance the prospects for lasting peace.

MAJOPPAD welcomes a wide array of contributions on various aspects of Politics and Governance, Peace Studies, and Administration. This inclusive approach aims to create a rich fount of knowledge that not only addresses theoretical frameworks but also provides practical insights for policymakers at all levels of governance and community leaders striving to foster stability and growth across the continent.
