About the Journal
KWASU Business and Private Law Journal (KWASUBPLJ) is a peer-reviewed annual publication of the Department of Business and Private Law, Kwara State University, Malete, Nigeria. KWASUBPLJ provides a forum for academics, scholars and legal practitioners to publish well-researched articles on diverse, topical and contemporary issues of national, regional and international relevance in business and private law and allied issues.
Scope and Focus
KWASUBPLJ publishes articles, case notes and book reviews on stimulating, contemporary and conventional private and business issues and practices related to Customary, Islamic and Common Laws. The journal also entertains articles related to private and business issues connected with other religious laws, such as Halakha (Jewish Law), Canon Law (Christian Law, particularly of the Catholic Church), Ecclesiastical law (other Christian Law), Hindu Law as well as Civil Law. It focuses on adjectival and substantive aspects of the law.
KWASUBPLJ publishes original and cutting-edge legal research on both national and international developments. The journal accepts contributions primarily in English. All submissions are subjected to substantive in-house screening, plagiarism checks and double-anonymised peer review to ensure that every publication contributes to current discourses. Any manuscript with a similarity index higher than 20% will not be sent out for review and will be declined for publication. KWASUBPLJ is an annual, Open open-access journal and charges fee for publication.
