Welcome to the LexScriptio, an online publications of the department of Jurisprudence and Public Law, Faculty of Law, Kwara State University, Malete, Kwara State, Nigeria. This online publication is dedicated to providing insightful and innovative ideas from various areas of study of Law. Our journal aims to bring together researchers, scholars, and experts to share their respective knowledge in a bid to contribute to the advancement of their respective ideas in the areas of law.

It is a great pleasure to present to the research community, policy makers and the world at large the first issue of the third volume of our online bi-annual Journal, LexScriptio. This issue reveals the legal trajectories which will appeal to the readers as it contains writings on topical legal issues such legal appraisal of the decline of students movement and the impact on governance in Nigeria, achieving equity in access to reproductive health care, ADR, algorithmic governance and Constitutional right in Nigeria, protection of lives and properties at Sea, governance deficiencies enabling corporate silence on environmental issues in Nigeria, and the analysis of NRS Act. Each article was blind peer-reviewed, plagiarism tested and included for publication only after thorough compliance with the reviewers’ comments.

 

The Journal also contains pieces on self-determination in Nigeria, municipal regulation of espionage in Nigeria, digital foot print and criminal liability,  effectiveness of the new taxation reform structure in reducing tax evasion and increasing compliance in Nigeria, legal regime on crowd funding in Nigeria, clemency and victims’ rights in Nigeria, vulnerability and challenges faced by immigrant minors in Nigeria, expropriation of rights in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector, food law as a tool for tackling malnutrition and food insecurity in the Nigerian,  digital and technical evidence in electoral dispute resolution, assessing the environmental impact of modern warfare under international law, national security and human rights protection in Nigeria, non-implementation of court order in Nigeria and the erosion of inmate fundamental right and universal jurisdiction approach to terrorism. This are sure great read for our enthusiasts as they represent and address current narratives in the domestic and international community for a better future.
