Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

The International Journal of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Management (IJEIM) welcomes the submission of high-quality manuscripts that advance knowledge in entrepreneurship, innovation systems, and contemporary management practices. The journal publishes original research articles, review papers, conceptual papers, case studies, and short communications that demonstrate strong theoretical grounding, methodological rigor, and practical relevance, particularly within emerging and African economies.

Manuscripts must be written in clear and concise English and should typically range between 4,000 and 8,000 words for full-length articles, while short communications should be between 2,000 and 3,000 words. Submissions must be prepared in Times New Roman font (12-point), with 1.5 line spacing and standard 1-inch margins on all sides. The manuscript should be structured to include a title page (submitted separately to ensure anonymity during review), an abstract of 150–250 words, three to five keywords, and the main sections comprising introduction, literature review, methodology, results and discussion, conclusion and recommendations, and references.

All submissions must adhere strictly to the APA 7th edition referencing style. Authors are expected to ensure accuracy and completeness in citations, with appropriate in-text referencing and a properly formatted reference list. Tables, figures, and illustrations should be clearly labelled, sequentially numbered, and presented in editable formats where possible, with sources appropriately acknowledged.

IJEIM maintains a strong commitment to academic integrity and ethical publishing standards. Submitted manuscripts must be original, not previously published, and not under consideration elsewhere. A similarity index of not more than 15% is required, and AI-assisted content must not exceed 10%, with appropriate disclosure where applicable. Authors are responsible for ensuring ethical compliance in data collection, analysis, and reporting.

The journal operates a double-blind peer review process, ensuring that both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the evaluation. Authors must therefore remove all identifying information from the main manuscript file. Submissions are made through the journal’s online system and should include the anonymised manuscript, a separate title page containing author details, and any supplementary materials where necessary.
